I say anything that allows your naughty bits to appear in nintendo games is fine by me.
Nintendo choose the name because they thought it fit in with the idea of personalizing your handheld with the various software made available for it via download.
My supposition was based on the dual cameras the new model sports.
I'm sure your info is solid though. It fits well with "wii". I don't doubt that they've got more than one cutsy application for their naming schemes. They seem to get more giggles out of names than most, and they do love to stick to a theme.
